Rates
Our
standard rate is
$100/ hr, billed in 15
minute increments. Our emergency services/ weekend/ night
rate is
$150/hr, billed in in
15 minute increments. For on-site work, there is a
2 hour minimum per
visit. Initial evaluations are not subject to the two-hour
minimum. There is a
flat charge for travel per-visit based on location, about $20-$50
within the North Shore - Boston - Portsmouth, NH - Salem,
NH area and slightly higher for locations north of
Portsmouth, NH, south of Boston, and west of Salem, NH.
Travel beyond those areas or overnight are negotiated in
advance.
Billable
Time
Billable time is
any time spent that
utilizes our experience. Time spent creating proposals, providing
purchasing advice, meeting you at the Apple Store, speaking
with vendors or contractors on your behalf... these are all
billable. We do our best to complete these tasks
quickly and thoroughly.
Payment
Payment for
invoices are due within two weeks
of invoice issue. There is
a 10%
finance charge on
overdue invoices. To start work for first time clients, we
require a payment of half
the contracted work amount
before we can start, and the balance paid upon
completion.
Email,
phone, or remote support
In some cases, we
can solve your issues
without coming to your location. For existing clients, short calls (<5
minutes) or emails are
without charge. For
longer interactions or new clients,
we bill our standard
rate in 15 minute increments, but without travel or
minimum.
We use our discretion in evaluating whether or not phone,
email, or remote support delivers more value than an
on-site visit. If we feel that your issue
cannot be solved remotely, we will work with you to schedule an
appointment.
Occasionally, we will
have to take a call from another client while we are with you.
You
will not be billed for
this time, and remember - that phone call
could be you next time.
Cancellations
Sometimes
circumstances come up that require you to
cancel a previously scheduled
appointment. We will do
our best to accommodate these situations, however, we ask
that you give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations
made
within 24 hours of an
appointment will be charged the
2 hour minimum for that
appointment, while cancellations made when we are
already in transit will
be charged at the
2 hour minimum plus travel.
Business
hours
We're
available
10am - 6pm, Monday
through Friday, except for recognized holidays. Our on-site
appointment starting times are typically
10am and 1:30pm.
During any full-day appointment we will take
30-45 minutes for lunch. This is not billable time.
Any request to work outside of these hours is evaluated on
a
per-request basis and subject to the higher
rate.
Emergencies
As long as a
previous appointment does not conflict with your emergency,
we can usually
be on site within
travel time + 30 minutes during business hours. We evaluate
each emergency on a
case-by-case basis.

Clients
Cassin Computer
Consultants requests that all new clients
print and sign this
page prior to our arrival. This represents our contracted
typical policies, although each individual client agreement
is different and must be approved verbally or
electronically ahead of time and
supersedes our typical
policies outline.
